Historical accuracy far from bullseye

Well, well, well.. my first ever blog post worthy of the name so I better make it interesting. Something I am particulaly fond of reading are the Guardian newspaper’s film reviews. These aren’t traditional film reviews in the truest sense as they are primarily concerned with a film’s historical accuracy. I find these reviews often more entertaining than the original film and they certainly offer more insight and understanding of the film’s supposed time in history.

It may seem dry, but check out the appraisal of Robin Hood Prince of Thieves (starring Kevin Costner). More important than my appreciation are your thoughts  – did you like it and learn from it?
